Wine Tourism in Champagne - Aisne

"The countryside is an open door to rambling dreams"
Jules Renard

Route touristique du Champagne

Located on the Champagne Tourist Route, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, the town of Trélou-sur-Marne invites you to explore all the treasures of Champagne and its renowned sparkling wine!

The Champagne Tourist Route, fully marked, winds through the vineyards, offering panoramic views of the steep hillsides where villages, castles, and churches nestle. The Vallée de la Marne vineyard benefits from its proximity to Paris and stretches across two regions (the southernmost part of Picardy and the western part of Champagne-Ardenne) and two departments (Aisne and Marne). This route will unveil breathtaking landscapes and introduce you to an exceptional UNESCO World Heritage site.

Trélou-sur-Marne

The village, located near Reims (the Coronation City), Épernay (the Capital of Champagne), and Château-Thierry (the birthplace of Jean de La Fontaine), spans 2,035 hectares and is home to 903 residents.

It warmly invites you to explore its vineyards and gastronomy.

The commune of Trélou-sur-Marne is made up of four hamlets: Chassins, Courcelles, l'Erolle, and La Ferme d'Avize.

La Goutte d’Or
This short trail offers a concentrated experience of the wonders the Vallée de la Marne has to offer: a charming, well-preserved village, picturesque vineyard panoramas, and often a chance to meet passionate individuals deeply connected to their land. After your walk, discover the fruits of their labor at one of the village’s many winemakers!

La Pétillante Demoiselle
Starting from the vineyards, this trail climbs through the vines to reveal an extraordinary view of the Marne's meanders. On your way down, we highly recommend a detour to the Marne's banks—and why not enjoy a tasting at Champagne Météyer?
